Warrior Errata 1 May 07 Changes from the 3 November 06 version are underlined. 1.22 (page 2): In 10mm Scale 40 paces = 0.8 inch not 1.25. 1.261 (page4): In the paragraph titled "Uncovered" the phrase "dropping back elements to ? a gap" is supposed to be "dropping back elements to pass a gap" 2.512 (page 13): Add at end: “Elephants, chariots and expendables may also be modeled on deeper bases in the same way to accommodate larger models. Simply play them for all game purposes as though they were the stated depth.” 4.13 (page 19): When a general joins a unit, all the movement restrictions that apply to either, apply to the combined body. All combat restrictions apply to each body separately. 4.53 (page 23): First sentence: Add “or” between “visual” and “audio”. 6.163H (pg 43). Change “extending out its tactical move.” at the end of the first sentence to “extending out to its charge reach.” 6.163K (page 44): Add to end of paragraph after the bullets: In the case of mixed units and canceled charges, what matters is what troop type is in the front rank of each unit in question. 6.165C (page 46): Change the second paragraph to read: “Lining up may not occur if the charging body would be moved into disordering or impassable terrain.” 6.166B (page 49): Fist sentence of last paragraph. “evaders,” should be “evader’s” 6.7 (pg 65-66). Add: “A body that includes animals voluntarily moving (including maneuvering) in or into a very rough area must be and remain in column." 6.711 (pg 65). In the second paragraph, delete “until next bound. “ 7.1 (page 69): Note that incendiary missiles shot by non-artillery elements (such as flaming arrows and flaming crossbow bolts) do not cause a target to be counted as shieldless to shooting in and of themselves. They do not receive a bonus vs shieldless troops in a manner similar to HG and ART. But only HG and ART ignore shields for the purposes of 11.1. 9.22 (page 82): Add 1HCW to the list of weapons that can also use JLS. 9.22 (page 83): A foot figure armed only with JLS always fights from a second rank at half effect from behind a rank of foot, cavalry or chariots. 9.23 (page 83). Add to end of paragraph starting with (1HCW): 1HCW cannot count as fighting from behind a rank of elephants. 9.3 (pg 83). (Supersedes old errata). Add fifth bullet under JLS: * "A foot figure armed with JLS and with no other close combat weapon but inherent SA always receives the JLS +.” 9.3 (page 83): Add 1HCW to the list of weapons in the fourth bullet under (JLS+). Table 9-1 (page 84): The weapons factor for HTW v El should be “2” not “3”. A replacement page – 84A – has been issued. 11.1 (page 122): Last bullet: Change “closer to an enemy body” to “closer to a known enemy body with 240p” 12.322B (pg 98). Add: “A body that includes animals voluntarily moving (including maneuvering) in or into a very rough area must be and remain in column." 12.323 (pg 98-100). Gully sides, Hedges, Portable Obstacles and Temporary Fortifications (12.324) have a “line of effect” (LOE). This LOE is the actual line that, when crossed, produces the effects of the obstacle for 12.323 (and therefore also 6.7) and 9.5. Warrior cannot hope to describe all the various ways these features may be modeled and does not want to restrict player creativity. The player placing the terrain feature, portable obstacle (PO) or temporary fortification (TF) must designate which linear part of the representation is the LOE. For example, a physical model of a gully will have gully sides that have varying degrees of depth to them, but the placing player will designate exactly where the LOE exists in the modeling of the gully side. For PO’s the LOE will be the edge of the PO in contact with the deploying body at the time of deployment. The on-table representations of these items may have the depths specified in their various rules, but it is only when the LOE is contacted that the feature produces its game effect(s). For all rules the words “crosses an/the obstacle” will mean “crosses an/the obstacle’s LOE”. “Across an/the obstacle” will mean “across a/the LOE.” For the purposes of 9.5, “defending the obstacle” is the same as “the (first) body in contact with the LOE.” “Entering combat” is the same as “contacting the LOE as part of a charge.” 12.323E (pg 99). Tethered animals may be destroyed in the same way as TFs. This is done in the same manner as in 12.324E with the following exceptions: 1. The PO must be shot at as a whole. 2. Each element counts as 3 figures for CPF calculations. 16.27 (page 131): Add at end of rule: “Army lists will identify which unit types may accompany an incendiary expendable. The owning player must clearly state which element of the accompanying unit contains the expendable. The expendable’s charge reach and any disorder from camels or other effects will always be measured from the front face of this element. The accompanying unit moves at the rate of and suffers all the movement-related terrain effects of both its foot type and the expendable type while the expendable is being accompanied. A mounted element ceases movement at the point it contacts an incendiary expendable. Other elements of the body may legally echelon forward to make contact if possible. Foot bodies do not cease movement unless their charge is canceled. Incendiary expendables do not have a morale grade, do not ever become broken or shaken and do not take waver tests. They can become disordered. They never suffer hand to hand casualties, but may suffer support shooting casualties. Igniting incendiary expendables as a countercharge *is* a charge response by the accompanying unit and may be made against impetuous and/or mounted bodies. The naptha-factor damage done to a mounted body is performed and factored as shooting, but counts as hand to hand casualties. The only tactical factors that apply to this damage are disorder and support shooting CPF. The disorder caused to a foot body by an incendiary expendable does not by itself create a must rally situation and is cessation-cured. Incendiary expendables are not subject to 16.22 and 16.24 as they are off table until ignited. An accompanying body that is in contact with an enemy body cannot ignite expendables.” 18.0 (page 141): Add at end of list rules: LEHI LEHI counts as loose order for all purposes except it counts as EHI in shooting and combat and takes no fatigue for being EHI and moving. This rule applies to List 264 (Feudal Japanese). MONGOL CAVALRY RULES Troops called “Mongol” in lists 207 (Tartars only), 259, 261 (CinC, Cavalry, Horse Archers only), 262, 263, 268 (Mongol Cavalry and Horse Archers only) are covered by their own set of list rules: 1. As an exception to Warrior 6.52, Mongol LC may freely interpenetrate or be interpenetrated by Mongol EHC/HC/MC/LC; any such interpenetration does not disorder either body due to the causes in the second and fifth bullets of Warrior 6.521. 2. Mongols may attempt to counter in any situation as an exception to Warrior 6.14. 3. As an exception to Warrior 6.61, Mongol EHC/HC/MC dismount on a 1 to 1 element basis. 4. Mongol LC fight 1.5 ranks in hand-to-hand combat if charging, countercharging or pursuing.
