Thanks Mark - does counter charging count the same as charging?
So if a mounted (Non SH) counter charges they'd get fatigue

Actually, this is perhaps the only case where a unit does not need to rally.
The close order foot never pursued, thus they never ceased pursuit...therefore no rally.

Mark's comments are correct...but do rely on a pike unit being 2E wide (or more).
So, stretching the pike army's frontage is important so that they have to 'widen out' even their 4E pike units.

One thing to consider mark - Whilst Roman heavy infantry is more expensive man for man V pikes; unit by unit the pikes come out more as to be effective they need to be in 4 ... |

WAIT changed to ATTACK on the basis of a signal (or a charge by a unit within the command) immediately becomes ATTACK with no need for anything else...for all the units in that command.
