For those of you who are new, we did consider a number of potential leaders. We
were basically faced with the choice of not doing it, recognizing 2-3 or
recognizing 20+. We chose 2-3.

Leader x-rules and options will be a major topic once we get the rules done.

Hannibal rated Pyrrhus the best general of his time. Some others
might include Belisarius, maybe Frederick Barbarossa (he has to roll
for death every time he crosses a river!), Bohemond, Epaminondas...
there are lots of possibilites. Another Ceasar rule might be that
using Ceasar allows the Ceasar player to be the only one to say what
happened in the battle afterwards, so that even a loss can be
described to competition organisers as a win!

So, you picked Hannibal, but didn't pick the guy that kicked
Hannibal's a$$ ... using tactical innovations to do it?

That's almost funny ... ;-)

No. I am just asking if this is how it is going to be for the 2006 NICT or
will something be done before then? Please just answer the question without
whining ..... again.....>>

Derek, I am surprised. This sort of thing we have come to expect from some,
however I would not think you'd need to stoop to it.
But this once I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're just
having a bad day.

Again - there is no plan to cost list rules that have not already been
costed. The archive contains our reasoning for those of you who do not
remember
the many times we have been over this already.
