Dear all
Am tried again by opponents who challenge what the die roll
additional distance (80 paces + or - for mounted)means exactly. May I
request an official Warrior rule clarification?
The issue is - if a 5, or 6 is rolled (depending on irreg or reg) for
mounted either evading or pursuing, is the die roll distance optional
or compulsory? Ie: can a player choose one of THREE options (add,
deduct or NEITHER) or must choose from TWO options - add OR deduct
but NOT choose one atll)?
Obviously some conditions depend on orders but as a general rule,
what does "may choose to add or deduct" imply? I interpret it it as
three option - add/deduct or not take one of these options at all.
Regards
Newbie

Without another, usually orders-based, restriction, you can also choose not
to add or deduct when it says 'may'.
