Warrior Ancient and Medieval Rules

Well it happened!!!, at the Western Suburbs Club in Altona, my
Seleucids minced the Bactrian Greeks. Both Geoff Roberts and myself
had played 6th and 7th many years ago, one comment heard was "Ah
someone playing a real wargame" nearly everyone was playing "War
Hammer" etc.

AS regards the game, we made heavy use of the rule book reading out
large chunks to get things square in our minds. WE had 1600 point
armies and the game was over in 5 bounds which took about three and a
half hours, the great thing was that the rules worked and the main
thing on my mind was positioning my troops and beating my enemy, the
rules were incidental. Just as when you watch a game of soccer , you
go to see the teams not the referee, so we were very happy with the
rules as compaired to DBM.
