Warrior Ancient and Medieval Rules

In the Feudal Warrior list #30, Gascon Brigans can be upgraded from
LTS/JLS to 2HCT. The list says "ANY" for the number of elements that
may upgrade to this weapon.

Does this mean you can have units with mixed weapons for the Brigans,
say the front rank 2HCT and a rear rank of LTS?

I'll let Jon or Scott give the official answer here, but I would
note by way of more immediate response that a few of the gurus here
have in the past indicated the Brigans, of several armies, with
front rank of HI 2HCT, Pa and rear rank of MI JLS are considered one
of those "killer must-have" troop types like the ubiquitous Moogs,
because of the invulnerability to missiles and power per points they
represent. This is particularly true in armies with S standards to
aid large numbers of the Irr C's through eagerness to avoid unease
and charge impetuously.

Note that a second rank of *LTS* behind a front rank of 2HCT is legal
but (almost always) silly, as they will not fight (unlike the case
where they are JLS-armed).

Yes, you can take them that way, but as I think Ewan pointed out, LTS does not
fight behind 2HCT, so that would probably not be a good idea..

Most commonly we find brigans with 2HCT front with JLS in a second rank.
