Took a closer look at the new Patsies this morning. Thinking about
how to run them when I get back from school.

Seems the Germanic Foederati Cavalry are to some degree intended for
mixed units of Nobles / Followers. Ostrogoths and a whole bunch of
other beasties of this type in the new book all have this capability,
but in the Patrician list notes only Romans are mentioned for mixed
units. And in fact the satement that non-general units may not mix
morale grades in the Patrician list would disallow this. Are these
oversights mainly intended for the "Roman" elements of this list?

This is looking interesting, my first real trash-troop Warrior army.
If I didn't need general elements I could actually field every other
figure I have for these guys at under 1600 pts! Even with a couple
little neat upgrades! Cool! Can't wait.

Replying to my own message, maybe a sign senility has finally set in
after all...

The mixed morale restriction also hoses the Germ Foed Warriors who
can't use their upgrade to B class as a result. This is looking more
like an oversight, maybe?

I will await an answer whenever you get a chance Scott. I know
sometimes these things can take a bit while you consult with the list
contributors and your notes etcetera. I don't really need to know for
a couple months anyway.

Of course (duh, what am I thinking) you can have an entirely seperate
unit of B class Foot Warriors, but not sure that is the way the list
was intended, looks more like the typical Irr eager-but-brittle
warband mentality like you see in the other similar lists.

Either way still want to know about the mounted Foederati noble /
follower mixing, in violation of the Patrician non-mixed-morale rule
as well as not called out in the notes. This is the one more likely
to see use by me if allowed anyway. I am thinking "god awful cheap
lancers" here!
