Sounds great to me. How many point armies? I'm the Aircon newbie
whose still putting an army together. I might have something ready by
then, but otherwise, are there armies available to use at Silver
Eagle for someone still getting their feet wet with Warrior?
What time will the games start? I take my daughter to her soccer game
that morning, but I should be free in the PM.
I marked the date in my calender, and will be looking forward to it.

Hi Jacob -
- yes, in theory, although honestly I'd much rather have a
1600pt contest in the run-up to H'Con. I've been talking to Bill
about this, too - it would be nice to have a couple of games
under my belt for the NICT! [I think we could do 3 1600pt games
in a day, no worries, and we could even do them at 3 or 3.5 hour
games to facilitate quick play if desired]

Standard mini rules will apply, 1200 points on a 4x6 table. Loaner armies are
available. Let me know what you are interested in playing.

In order to get three rounds in the schedule is as follows:
Round 1 - 9:00 to 12:00
Round 2 - 12:30 to 3:30
Round 3 - 4:00 to 7:00
Pizza and Pop dinner and story telling 7:00 - whenever
Snacks will be provided throughout the day.

Okay. What am I interested in? The historical periods that I've been
most interested in are:
A life long interest in the 5th century Fall of Rome conflicts.
Especially in the Western Empire. Barbarian or Roman are both fine.
A more recent fascination with 15th century warfare. I'm actually int
the process of trying to put together a Late Swiss army.
I'm also reading "The Sunne in Splendor" right now, a 'sympathetic'
biography of Richard III, so anything that's WOR is fine.
Does any of this work?

I'll see if I can't get my wife to take my daughter to her game in
order to make the 9:00 AM round. Of course, I might have to agree to
go to the game in order to get the rest of the day off to play - is
it okay to miss the first round and still play the next two?

Actually,
If kosher Ribeyes are provided, would you cook them Jake? For those of you
who have not experienced Jake's cooking, you've clearly missed out on some very
excellent cuisine!

I've gotten definite approval to go, so hope to see you (and Matt?)
there. I plan on borrowing an army, but I'm working frantically on
trying to put my own together before then. I've got about 3/4's of
the lead I need for a Late Swiss force, and I'll get the rest before
then - it's just a matter of painting and basing, which I know that
with my schedule would be a miracle if it got finished in time.

Ewan, et al...,
If everybody would prefer 1600 pt games we can certainly try that. I can put
together enough 5x8 tables for 3 games at a time. I have enough 4x6 for 5 games
at a time. We can still start at 9 AM but the finish would have to be pushed
back to 9 PM with a dinner break from 4:30-5:30. that would allow 3.5 hour
rounds.
I am awaiting your comments and commitments.

Regrettably, only 3 people showed up to play. We did play. Everybody got in a
couple of games and Matt Kollmer even ran a Fast Warrior demo for an interested
bystander.
