What were the Kushites? African or Egyptian?

Heh...Egytians ARE Africans! ;-)
But I know what you meant. The Kushites came from Nubia so they
would have been Negroid in apearance as opposed to the lighter
skinned native Egyptians. (despite what some of that recent "Afro-
centric" art depicts) I assume the new comers would have mixed with
the locals so when I painted up my Kushite army years ago, I
included a mixture of skin tones from exremely dark brown to light
red-brown.
Kushites are a fun little army to run. I ran it in a couple of
Tournies here in Texas in the late '90s and had a ball. Suprisingly
I even won more games than I lost with it. It can be a bit tricky
and lacks real punch. However the potential for rolling up big time
is certainly there, so you don't have to pick and choose your fights
as closly as with some Biblical armies. Plus it's nice not having
to worry about unease or prompting charges! In fact with the new
list in Biblical Warrior allowing an upgrade to four horse chariots,
it's even more deadly than before!

Who would paint up another Kushite army is he did not have too many
armies planned already...

African. They had assimilated to the Egyptian culture and honored Egyptian gods.
