Warrior Ancient and Medieval Rules

Afternoon all,

Let u know that I'm the new guy on the block in regard to joining
WarriorRules. As for wargaming I have been doing tht since 1967.
Have played most of the WRG rules since 1974. Ancients is my
favorite period to play. Hopefully in time, I will meet some of you
and get to play a game or two. I want to Thank Kelly for giving me
the heads up on this group.

I'm currently living in Springfield, MO. NO plans on moving for many
years to come. I moved here from Dallas Tx in July of last year.

I don't mind driving to tournys or weekend gaming if its no more then
a 4hour drive.

To bad we missed hooking up with you while you were down here in Dallas. If
we had only known....

Anyone else in the DFW metro area who hasn't introduced themselves to Don,
Chris or I? We are always interested in meeting local Ancients people.

In fact I just proposed a 6 month Warrior season to the locals here in DFW
(to start in August). Jack, If you know of anyone else your old area who is
interested in participating, or would just like to come check out the play,
let them and / or us know.

You might try hooking up with the Dallas Thursday Night Irregulars.
Steve Miller is the POC, and he's a good guy. Old WRG 6th/7th
players in this group that have migrated to WAB for ancients. I'll
try to dig up an email address.

Most of the gamers who play ancients in Dallas or Fort Worth play WAB
or DBM. Clay Smith and Steve Miller or your best best for Dallas.
They prefer WAB, but like me, played the WRG system for many years.

I will give u a couple of number for these guys;

Clay Smith - 972-881-8341 (Has family so don't call to late)
Steve Miller - 214-375-1333 (I believe that to be his number but I
have not called it in along time so beware.)

Now these guys meet on Friday night and play many historical
periods. They sometimes meet on Saturday at Hobbytown USA in Plano.
They also like to play 40K Warhammer.

I live just outside of Ft Smith AR and pass through Springfield for work 4
to 10 times annually. Love to get togethre to play....

Morning Dave,

We have a gaming store here in Springfield called Meta-Game. Tables
for the most part are always open. If your coming thru and have
time to play give me a call at 417-833-5112. I have some family
restrictions, but for the most part, open to play on weekends and
evening. During the school year open to play as early as 10 A.M..

I do not know where that gaming store is; I have looked in Springfield a
few times and never found anything that sparked my interests. Sometime in
August will be working out of the Springfield area for a few days; once I
get the dates down i will be in touch.

Morning,

Meta-Games is in the SouthEast corner of Sunshine and Glennstone.
There is a strip mall there and they are in the far corner of the
mall. You can get to Sunshine off of 65 and just go West. You
would travel maybe a mile and a half. If your coming across the
state you can hit Glennstone off of 44. But its take more time as
well as more lights to get to the same intercetion of Glennstone and
Sunshine. Better to take 44 to 65 and go South on 65 to Sunshine.
65 runs North and South and 44 runs East and West. 65 and 44 meet
East of the city.

I think I have been by the intersection and just did not recognized it.
Right now I am planning to be working in MO the week of 8/19. I will update
as it approaches.

I am an old 7th edition player and ocassionally miss the slight changes
since 7th. I am playing currently burgundian Ordonance; I doubt if I will
have my Kushites ready by then; perhaps if playing fast warrior only.
