Any chance of getting a small Conquistador list as part of New World Warrior?
Even though it is out of period after 1485 the arquebusiers are basically HG and
in reality neither they nor the CB were supposedly as effective in the tropics
as the hand-to-hand foot and horse (compared to what was going on in Europe at
the time). So they still kind of fit from a technological standpoint. I believe
this is the reason why you see them included in some of the other
ancients/medieval games out there.

You know, John, I have actually been giving this some thought, even though I am
not our list guru.
What I would NOT want would be for that to be a 'mainstream' list - maybe have
it ONLY approved for use in games against its historical opponents in the New
World and NOT ok for use in open tourneys, etc.
We will take a look at it.
Any volunteers want to write us a draft?

Conquistadors will be part of one list in New World Warrior. They are allies
with an option to be CinC.
They just didn't have enough numbers to justify an independent list. Unless y
ou start out with a teeeeeny core of Spanish and then dump in lotsa natives.
Plus, we're waaaay outta period as it is. We're already struggling (sort of)
with the "sword and buckler" thing which was a renaissance tactical developmen
t, not really a widespread late medieval one.

It's not in the plans. See other email as for rationale behind it. Currently
, Spanish can be part of Tlaxcallan list which is a subset (today) of the Azte
c list. Again, any Spanish activity at the tactical scale of Warrior would ha
ve to include large numbers of natives, hence the approach we're currently tak
ing.
