In a humble attempt to help resolve the bitterness between the
Followers of The One True Scale (15mm) and those that didn't have
enough toy soldiers as children and insist on using huge, unwieldy,
heavy, expensive, hard to paint 25mm, I propose a simple solution.
After years, …no months, …all right, hours of deep thinking
and trial
and effort, I have developed a 15mm to 25mm scale transition base
system. It consists of (warning – shameless plug ahead) my Most
Excellent High Quality Magnetic Bases in 25mm scale with a magnetic
strip bonded to the top of the 25mm base. The magnetic strip on top
is slightly smaller than the size of a 15mm base, so that you can
flock the top of the 25mm base and drop your flocked 15mm base right
on top and it will blend right in. I can make the 25mm base in
either 1/8" or 1/4" sizes. It will work with any metal bases
(except
aluminum) and any magnetic base.
Note to the 25mm mob, it does not work in reverse!
You can see the type of bases I make by going to my webpage at:
http://personal.jax.bellsouth.net/jax/g/a/gamegod/Index.html
or wait till your next meeting with Derek Downs, who has started to
use my bases. (Kind of takes the sting out of my losing every game
when I see how damn sharp his army looks)
I would be happy to send a sample to anyone that is interested for a
small donation of $1.00 (yes to PayPal). I will try to get a picture
up soon; item 237 of 652
For those that game across the wide spectrum, I carry bases in all
standard sizes and also do custom bases (any size/number) as well as
blue naval bases and any size round base. Mention being a member of
the Warrior Rule group for a 10% discount. Additional 5% discount
for current or retired service personnel.
