Greetings Mark,
What type of turn out have you been getting up there Mark? Im thinking
of going up there for the weekend and want to know if I need to worry
about pre reging for the tournament. Is the point limit Hard? Will
you play or ref or do both?

Terry,

I have to be candid that our turnout has not been that great. Most of the guys
who play Warrior also play some sort of fantasy gaming (Warhammer, etc.) and
Kubla Con is our big event of the year for fantasy miniatures.

I know that Ed Forbes will be playing. Rich Gagliasso may play part of the
tourney, but isn't going to be available for the whole Saturday. Lenney Hermann
will play if he can make it to the con at all. Ed may be able to get one or two
others from Fresno. We won't have my son Alex, as he'll be playing in a "Magic:
The Gathering" tournament and playing in one of the D&D scenarios. I'm hoping we
can pull together six -- Ed would really like to have a shot at qualifying for
Historicon -- but we'll see.

My plan is to ref unless we have an odd number, in which case I will play to
round out the field. If I play, I will likely be doing something off the wall
to experiment (possibly Post Mongol Russians).

I have a very interesting experimental point limit that I'd like to try some
time, but I haven't planned for that or advertised it this time around. So we
will be following the national standard on point limits, which I understand to
be 1200 points that can be exceeded by less than the cost of the cheapest
element you actually field.

It would be great to have you come up. We can certainly promise you a full day
of gaming against a mix of Warrior opponents, whether we have enough for a bona
fide tournament or not.
