Ahhh!, he says as a lightbulb flickers dimly over his head....

I TOTALLY misunderstood the portion "A tactical move can also include the
following without any reduction in move distance." to mean that the up to 45
degree pivot was somehow a freebie - my mistake. It's all clear now. Thanks.

The staff element is a four horse light chariot joining a 2 element HC L unit,
one element wide two deep - is the Staff element alone in the the front rank now
(per 4.13)?, or is it placed besides the front element of the HC (BTW everything
here is Regular.)? If Irregular?

If it comprises the new front rank, then what is fighting in any ensuing combat
- the LCh or the HC? I am assuming that if it is the LCh, then any rank bonuses
that the HC would have gotten is now gone...?
