Did I understand there is a plan for a Warrior tourney or tourneys at
origins? I couldn't find a reference to anything like that in the
invite and although it sounds like a great convention it also sounds
like all-DBM. Is this the case or did I miss something?

I am thinking I could probably deal with driving to Columbus, OH for
something as good as this if I could play Warrior as a Historicon
warm-up when I get there.

Maybe I could even get my wife to go, at least it isn't "Lancaster
again".

At the last minute, I have been asked, along with my good friend Mike Turner, to
attend Origins.

While there I will have an extended opportunity to speak with the folks who
coordinate historical miniatures gaming for the con. Obviously, we'd all like
to see Warrior at this venerable venue.

Any of you attending Origins who would like to link up there and talk with these
guys to convince them of Warrior events next year?

Anyone who would attend Origins next year to play Warrior if it was offered
(Origins is late June in Columbus Ohio, USA)?

Anyone who would go to GenCon (Indianapolis next year, I think) to play Warrior
if it were offered (as these are the same folks)?

Jon

I too would be willing to help and or participate next year at Origins -
assuming real world allows it. I have family and friends in Columbus, O (my
brother, who also plays Warrior) so the trip is multi-purpose for me.

Having just finished up at Origins helping with another historical miniatures
game, that venue isn't quite ready for a full tournament. The DBX guys have a
presence overseen by the always cheerful and hardworking Rich Hartley, but we'd
need to really beat the bushes in advance to get the same showing.

I am thinking that unless a bunch of people committed or semi-committed to a
tourney, I'd wait and do a Warrior Battles demo the first year and use Origins
as a venue for that game instead.

However, if there is enough interest in a Warrior tourney at Origins, I would be
willing to honcho something together.

J
