Warrior Tourney Results

Farewell to Lenexa Warrior Tourney

Held in honor of the relocation of Tabletop Game and Hobby from Lenexa, KS
to Overland Park, KS - the last tourney of any kind held at the old location.
Sponsored by the 10th Cavalry chapter of the Dead Generals Society.

Format: 15mm, 1600 pts, 6'x4' tables, 3 x 3.5 hour rounds, 360p rear zones.

Results:

Mike Turner, Later Imperial Roman, 15 pts - 1st Place, NICT
Charles Yaw, Sassanid, 12 pts - 2d
Steve Hollowell, Later Carthaginian, 12 pts - 3d
Jon Becker, Feudal French, 10pts - Brutus Award (tied)
Matt Johnson, Hundred Years War English, 9 pts
Matt Bogart, Medieval Spanish, 9 pts- Best Rookie, Slayer Award
Todd Schneider, Araucanian, 8 pts
Paul Leuschen, Early Hoplite, 6 pts - Brutus Award (tied), Best Painted
Woody Walton, Ayyubid Egyptian, 3 pts - Best Sportsman
Dave Clopp, Later Hoplite, 1 pt - DGS Military Misfortune Award

The Brutus Award is given to the player who kills the most generals. Jon
and Paul tied with 3 (1 CINC) each.

The Slayer is given to the player who breaks the most enemy units on
contact. Matt won with 7.

Best Rookie is given to the highest placing new player. Military Misfortune
is awarded to he who earns DFL.....

Five area Warrior players could not make the tourney for various reasons,
but Jon Becker drove down from Des Moines and two new players joined the fray -
Matt Bogart and Dave Clopp.

Prizes included four trophies, 2 ospreys, 24 packs of 25mm figures and $75
in gift certificates - everyone got something! Prizes were provided by the
DGS, Tabletop and Dave Smith.

Umpiring this was EASY. Hardly any rules questions, no disputes, lots of
fun.

Til next time!
Jon
