Gentlemen,

Can anyone point me in a direction on the web for a decent painting guide for Camillan Romans? I have an Osprey but it seems to be a bit lacking in pretty pics. Does anyone know of any good guides in book form? Thanks,

Kelly Wilkinson

Kelly,
Have you looked at Barker's book on Rome and her Enemies?

No color, but diagrams with descriptions of the colors,

Mike

Mike,

Yes, I have looked at that excellent source, but it really doesn't go back far enough. I'm also looking for ideas for their itallian allies and samnites. Additionally there doesn't seem to be much about the Leves... Thanks for responding though and offering some genuine help.

Hey Kelly

Have you tried Armies of the Macedonian and Punic Wars, by Duncan Head (WRG publication)?
No colour pictures. Some descriptions.
Italians and samnites are also described.
The period is bang-on.

Noel.
