The quick reference sheet that is the last page of the new rulebook was printed with a couple of minor errors and without the perforation. A corrected copy is available as a free .pdf in the files section under Play Aids.

I was looking at the new Quick refference sheet and see that JLS gets a bonus against EHI. is this some correction that I had missed or is it new to this set of rules?

That bonus is correct and not new.

Further research has reminded me that the original white rulebook play aid chart (the one in the back, not the one in 9.0) had this factor incorrect and we put out a free online correction.

We can't seem to get the play aid right the first time no matter how hard we try...sigh... Smile

One further note: I haven't read the new book thoroughly yet, but I did note that the in-book chart (but not the play aid chart, oddly) gives HTW a factor of 3 against elephants, which would be scary Smile. I am sure that 2 (as on the play aid chart) is correct, but in case anyone is confused...

That is indeed an error. It should be a 2.

And I lost my bet. I picked Mark to be the first player to find a substantive erratum....lol

Proof-reading is tough. I was irked by the couple of instances I caught in the early pages of "it's" that should have been "its," and that probably put me into nit mode Smile.

The real question is, do you want all of these? (I saw the odd '?' that Mark caught also, but figured I would leave you in bliss a little longer; there are a bunch [some, e.g. the extraneous bullets part way through some bulleted-list items, might confuse but most would not] - let me know if you in fact want them detailing.)

Typos (as opposed to substantive rules things) I want collected when you have them and sent to me offline.

Rules stuff (HTW v El, for example) I would like here.

We will do replacement pages in the same format. Driven by rules things, but typos fixed when we do them.

For free of course.,

Here's another, Jon. In both the new book (fantastic, BTW, kudos to FHE) and your corrected play aid chart, Sling is noted as having a long range of 120 and a short range of zero. This is obviously reversed from correct. Otherwise, slings would always shoot at half effect. Incan players will thank me Wink

Also, do you really want the chart to classify all artillery as having a long range of 480 p.? Organ guns are 80/160, but hey, that is in the rules, so maybe I'm too picky. Those who own them would thus know better, and newcomers might well find it and realize that the chart is a generalization.

Ok, another correction for that chart, which I obviously did not look at anywhere near closely enough - and I didn't have enough people help me with it.

But the rules on sling are correct. Both 8.6 and table 8-1 have Sling range rules correct.
