Regarding the rule that allows Spartans to fight with 2 ranks + 1/2, Is that intended only for charge and countercharge, or do they always get it?

We had a game the other night and we had two different interpretations of the placement of the comma in the text. Didn't matter much for play, but it could in the future.

Thanks.

I'm not sure why this is seen as unclear.

Classical Warror, Page 3, Greek Inf Rules Section, #1 pretty much beats to death the fact that those extra ranks happen only when charging, c-charging, pursuing. This is repeated (we're nothing if not pedantic) on page 10, List Rule #1. The comma location in that sentence is exactly where it needs to be. Bill is the king of commas. Laughing

Thus, those extra Spartan ranks happen when the body is charging, counter-charging, pursuing.

That's what I thought.

Thanks Scott.

Noel.
