Well Matt, The Alex figure is from WARGAMES FOUNDRY.
99% of all of my Macedonian figures are from them.

The FOUNDRY is my favourite miniature maker.
The figures are easy to paint well, with lots of sharp edges and dynamic poses.
They are quite accurate and up to date with proper Eq and weapons.
They arrive (to me in Canada) from England in 4-5 days (yes days!) from ordering -- not the 1-2 months I'm used to for figures from the USA.
However they come at a high price ...

Thanks for the compliment.

Noel.

thanks Noel
I remember your Macedonians...very nice!!
I'll have to pick up that Alex fig.
I got some Vendal Miniatures Pikemen, and they mimic the Foundry well,
Although I can't say they're much cheaper!!!

P.S. There are two ALexander figures available from FOUNDRY. I got the one including only Companions.

Yeah, VENDEL is my second favorite.

They also have an excellent Persian line.
The only problems I find are that the VENDEL Cav (not Inf) are a little bulky and flat, and all of their figures are much larger than other manufactureres so they don't mix well in the same unit (makes the others look like hobbits).

Noel.

yeah I know what you mean
I got the Alexander Fig from Vendal and some Companions
they're nice but do look a bit bulky, the Pikemen I really like though.

I'd love to get Persians too but I'll need to work alot of extra hours!!

Look at Battlefront minis for Persians too real nice..
Craig Scotts Persians are all Battlefront very nice too!!!!
I'm not a huge fan of ALL the Cav though.
