6.51 Exchanging Ranks
Does this permit only the very front rank to fall back through other ranks? Can the front two ranks, in a recoil fall back? If only the front rank, how many rear ranks can it fall back through?
There doesn't seem to be any clarifiacation under 6.31 Recoils/Follow-Ups.
Also, the language in 6.51 doesn't clearly/strictly prohibit more than one rank falling back through other ranks in a recoil, although it alludes to that.
Yet, 6.126 Maneuvers in hand-to-hand states "A body that recoils may exchange ranks as it does so, but is not forced to." implying that multiple ranks may be exchanged thus, and not just the front rank.
What's the intent here?

Multiple ranks may be involved in the exchange. _________________ Roll Up and Win! |

I had no doubt that strange infantry was involved in your question... _________________ Roll Up and Win! |
