Ed (And all): I have submitted an event request, and will follow-up today to check on success or otherwise. I certainly hope so.

On the other hand, what are the relative odds of the event happening versus Ed actually showing up? We want Ed the Rash!

{No, no, not *that* kind of rash...}

Doesn't matter how much you scratch, Ed the Rash won't go away!

...couldn't resist...

Hello All,

Heard from Ewan today, and left him a phone message 5 minutes ago.

Yes, there will be a tournament at Council of Five Nations. All day Saturday, October 11, 2008.

Our pre-reg material should be complete or near-complete tonight. Look for it on the web site, hopefully tonight, or real soon after.

And we would love to see Ed Kollmer back at Council, rash and all!

I love it Frank!!!!! Very Happy Good One!!!! Laughing

Well, lets see Ewan, I will have to check with my bookie to find out the odds on that one. But let's say that Ed the unpredictable is at the present sorting through his lists of possible commanders, to see who is available that weekend.
But as always, and Ewan knows, I can never be totally depended upon. Just as Seti on the Flank or Grouchy at Waterloo, I follow in that time honored tradition.
But Hope reigns eternal. I hope for a good arrival roll on that day.

Ed the unperdictable rash

Shocked
How did I miss David's missive. Yes, David , let's hope the signs are promising for the day.
I look forward to seeing you all again.

Excellent: just talked to Dave, and this is a go.

I - or more likely the hyper-organised Bill Low - will beat some bushes; I am very hopeful that with a central location, and with the recent cancellation of a NJ event, we should get a very decent turnout.

Tournament cost is a highly nominal $2.

Hope to see you all there!

Hi,

I plan to attend. I did notice that a convention pass is $25
is that correct?

Also what scale and # of ponits?

Dennis

Excellent, Dennis; glad you're coming. Any idea how many other NJ folk will make the trek? Jim? Fred? Marc?

Webpage is updated for the tournament:
http://www.swa-gaming.org/CouncilHistoricalMinis

and details (copied from there, but it's what I sent them) are:
Ancient miniatures tournament: NASAMW-sponsored one-day event using Warrior rules. 15mm, 1600 points, one list. 3 games: 9 a.m.-12.30, 1-4.30, 5.30-9 p.m. Please arrive by 8:45 so that the draw can be timely! All lists permitted, with errata and list errata as found at http://www.fourhorsemenenterprises.com . Please bring a groundcloth and terrain that you wish to use. We are hoping that Silver Eagle will be in attendance to offer gaming supplies, and there will be the usual prizes and glory on offer, as well as camaraderie and tales of woe. For more info on the tournament, please contact: Ewan McNay, emcnay@albany.edu or 518-437-4404.

We're planning on 6x4 tables unless there's a massive turnout (possible if we get the Rochester crowd down, but I don't know how likely that is... anyone wishing to shake the bushes there, please do so!)

p.s. Con cost is $15 (assuming that you come for only the Saturday), so $17 total entry cost. I would like to promise that I would organise a lunch, but there is *no* way I am going to have time to do that.... sorry!

Really looking forward to this, chaining Dad to the car.....not so much (he's much bigger than me!) I'm really at a loss as to what army to bring though Sad

I will also be making the journey from the east.

I'm sure that 2 dollars will be just fine to add to the 15 for the con.Wink

Happy to see that the Kollmers are making the trip.

Very much looking forward to hosting you all here in Albany!

I have heard (mostly via the esteemed Dr. Low) of several attendees, but if there are others who would like last minute encouragement, bribes, or mere information then please let me know Smile.

Should be a lot of fun, and in a very pleasant setting also. See you all on Saturday.
