Happy New Year All!

Dmitri and I are getting ready to push a little lead to start the year and I was pondering Historicon a bit. We haven't tried Warrior Battles yet, but I'm curious how that might impact the format for Historicon?

Anything on allowable lists for 'Dark Ages,' or will it simply be that list book?

Best wishes,
John Garlic

I have similar questions. It is a bit annoying that the theme for 2009 was only just put up on the NASAMW website, and there is still no word on allowable lists. Not having had the benefit of that information, I doubt now that I'll have time to paint the requisite figures to play in 25mm.

Sigh. They haven't published the lists yet?

Here they are:

Imperial Warrior
29. Gepid
30. E Franks et al.
36. L Visigoths

Dark Age Warrior
1. Scots Irish
2. Picts
3. Early Saxon, et al.
4. Merovingian Frank
5. Italian Ostrogoth
6. Romano British
7. Sub Roman British
8. Early Welsh
9. Breton
10. E Lombard
13. Slav
18. Carolingian Frank
20. Andalusian (no HK, no Berbers)
21. Feudal Spanish (no HK/EHK, Berbers)
22. Early Serb or Croatian
23. Italian Lombard
27. Viking
29. Norman/Western Frank
30. Russ
31. Pre-Feudal German
32. Pre-Feudla Scots
33. Norman Conquest Welsh
34. Norse Irish
35. Boran Norse Irish
36. Anglo-Danish

Feudal Warrior
4. Communal Italian (no HK)
5. E Polish
6. Papal Italian
7. Early Russian
10. Scots Isles and Highlands

Word of caution: The lists will be from the new Dark Age Warrior lists. We hope to have them out after Cold Wars. Don't panic in terms of prepping armies since most core components won't change all that much. So if you want to play Vikings, you can start painting now and not sweat it.

Thank you for this, Scott. Will have to find one of these lists that contains Greek mercenaries.
