Here is a situation in a recent game:

A and B are on one team and X and Y are bodies on the opposing team.

Body A charges X.

Y charges A from outside A's charge path.

B charges Y from outside Y's charge path.

The rules state, in pertinent part, that a charge is cancelled if the charging body has a charge DECLARED upon it by another body if that charge comes from outside its charge path.

So, does the charge that Y declared upon A cancel A's charge on X even though B's charge on Y will ultimately cancel Y's charge?

Is the declaration of a legal charge alone sufficient to cancel a charge?

If no, what if Z charges B from outside B's charge path?

And, if no, if a body must make a waver test in order to charge, must it pass the waver test to cancel the charge of another body, or is the declaration alone sufficient?[/u][/i]
