PostPosted: Mon May 09, 2011 3:50 pm    Post subject: Galloglaich updates

Well, this simplifies my decision tree. Under the last set of rules regarding Barbarian Infantry, my Galloglaich were considered Barbarian Infantry, but I was using a detachment of Kens for the third rank, which we just figured out was invalid.

I was cringing at the cost of upgrading the 3rd rank to close order Irreg ‘B’ foot.

Now the Galloglaich have their own bullitt points, and have most of the Barbarian Infantry advantages, without the required 3rd rank or size. Trade off being no fighting from the 3rd rank as well. But since they can do 40 casualties on even die rolls against foot, losing 4 casualties for that lonely man in the third rank is no big loss.
