Yo Robert
I have hoplites. They are not really spartans. They are painted (not by me). Matt and I got them years ago. I think from Derek D.

Robert,
The first consideration is going to be shield decals from Little big man. Make sure the old glory shields are big enough for the decals. Hoplite figures are all about the shields...Hoplons...

I started to get fired up about this project - and the spartan army is taking shape 82 plastic hoplites and 122 wargames foundry figs (courtesy of ebay).
Now to figure out if I use the Lamda from the peloponesian wars or individual shields that i believe were the norm when the enemy were persians and the like.
Would lovge some thoughts on shield designs, and will start a discussion under armies.
Looking to paint Spartiates, Laekodeamons and Helots - Thoughts? |

I am painting the 10000 now and I just used Little Big Man transfers with Hoplite designs not the Lamda. I am not sure what the Lakedomians had or the Helots.
Sorry for the lack of help
Oh, I am getting on the lists for you. I typed them in once and lost them so I have to start over again.
