The hoplite lists state that Theban and Spartan ranks beyond the first two get to fight if charging, countercharging or persuing.
I forgot to check last night but Pike gets following up - does persuing include following up, or do they only get shock of impact and then revert to 2 full ranks in subsequesnt bounds?
Appreciate the feedback.

Pike count half third and fourth rank when following up.

Jon
Thanks for the response - I knew that I was chec king whether the wording in the Hoplite lists was deliberate or a mistake - and it turns out they too get ranks beyond two should the list rules so state if following up.
Hope all is well
Robert
