The last couple of tournaments have been using a modified deployment system that everyone likes to go with the preset terrain. But, it's hard to find written down anywhere or at least I'm being clueless and keep missing it.

From memory, it's running like this

Even scouting points
equal die roll to pick table side, both sides deploy 120 back from centerline, randomly determine who deploys largest command first

More than but not doubled
Scouting advantage is +2 to die rolls for determining side, both side deploy 120 paces back from table centerline, smaller scouting deploys largest command first

Doubled but not tripled
Scouting advantage is +3 to die rolls for determining side, larger scouting deploys on centerline, smaller scouting deploys 240 paces back from table centerline, smaller scouting deploys largest command first

Tripled or more
Scouting advantage is +4 to die rolls for determining side, larger scouting is on centerline, smaller scouting deploys in 360 pace wide rear zone, smaller scouting deploys all commands first

Some questions would be:
Artillery like bombards that deploy at the centerline shoot on the first bound as they don't count as force marching?
Temporary fortifications may be set up as far as the centerline depending on the ratio of scouting points?

Hey!!
Don't take my attribute.!!!
I am Ed the Clueless.
There isn't room for both of us.!!!
Anyway, back to reality.
Looking at it. I checked my copy that
I copied from one of the tourneys
It looks pretty good. And from MEMORY!!
But the one difference is that my copy
says the Outscouted army deploys all
commands. Not just the largest.
Also even Outscouted can have Ambushes in
their deployment zones.
Artillery that deploys further than 240p from the
base edge still count as forced marched.

Please correct me also. So I can upgrade my rules

I remember checking the Bombard rules on the updated deployment system, and it clearly stated, somewhere, that if the Bombard is deployed forward of the normal 240 zone, then it counts as moving, and cannot shoot on bounds 1 or 2.

The deployment rules are posted in the Events section for the usual HMGS shows.

And as pointed out, correctly this time, bombards and such deployed forward of the "traditional" deployment area still count as if they forced marched for shooting eligibility purposes.
