Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda - hindsight is always 20/20 but the center of your army is wicked nasty.

Elephants ignore stakes - elephants right up the hill to take on the LB (who do NOT have 2HCW) and that LI holding the bend in the line.

If that doesn't work possibly charging the Bonnachts with the Elephants hoping they are uneasy (don't know were the army standard was) and 50% chance of shake and break = more waver tests.

Stall in the middle.

Outstanding flank march Phil - caused mayhem on that flank and had the battle continued it would have allowed that flank to be turned most likely.

Nice job on your reserves to twart the "flank" marching Elephants. You were probably not even concerned with losing that unit as it would have taken 3-4 turns of mashing them to get them out of the way.

Todd

Good observation on the battle.
I love your analysis of battles
They are concise and to the point.

Thanks Ed!

Khmer is a tough army, but facing Anglo-Irish is a tough road to sled.

The Dart, Jav, 2HCW is the optimum (or HTW,Jls,D) combo to face elephants.

Well Rich has his revenge in some measure, running Huns against my Anglo-Irish 2 games in a row. Slaughtered me twice.
