Hi Everybody
We had a great game this week end with friends. We have played the Battle of Bouvines (27th july, 1214) that we will react soon for the 800th anniversary.
As a medieval battle we had a lot of 6 HK units and so a lot of knights charges.
They have lance and so , we had 5 lancers during the first round of charge.
The questions are:
- For the following turn, if a unit is winner and pushes the opponent, this unit for the next turn (without expending) still have 5 fighters or 3 as for subsequent turns they count as "others cavalry weapons"
- If the winner pursuits and keep the contact, they still have lance or count as "other cav weapons"? Therefore, 3 or 5 fighters?.
- We faced a draw as a result for 6 HK Vs 6 HK, for the next turn, do we count 5 or 3 fighters with "other cav weapons"?
Thank you for your answer |

First of all, love the painting. Very purty.
Now to answer questions.
- For the following turn, if a unit is winner and pushes the opponent, this unit for the next turn (without expending) still have 5 fighters or 3 as for subsequent turns they count as "others cavalry weapons"
It has 3 as "other cav weapons".
- If the winner pursuits and keep the contact, they still have lance or count as "other cav weapons"? Therefore, 3 or 5 fighters?.
5 fighters. Page 83: "Note that when pursuing, they count at half effect, but use "other mounted" factors, not L factors."
- We faced a draw as a result for 6 HK Vs 6 HK, for the next turn, do we count 5 or 3 fighters with "other cav weapons"?
3 with "other cav weapons". _________________ These Rules Suck, Let's Paint! |

Thank you for your answers.
Fortunately, we dealt wilh all the cases in these ways.
Another question about the Hand to hand factor.
In the QR sheet, we have :
9.42 HAND TO HAND TACTICAL FACTORS
+2: Loose/Open charging impetuously OR mounted/animals vs. disordered foot or vs. artillery OR mounted/animals pursuing any
+1: Following up or pursuing
Does it mean that a poursuing CAV unit has + 3 as Tactical factors?
(+2 AND +1)
Thank you |

Mounted pursuers get the +2 and the +1 for a net +3. |
