Hello All,

Can you please clarify the following situation.

In turn 2 a LC unit routs.

In turn 3 a single element General moves to intercept the routed unit.

On coming within 120 paces the General fails a waver test for seeing the rout, becomes shaken but intercepts the routers.

In turn 4 can the General both recover himself, automatically, from shaken and still rally the routers from rout (as he himself is not broken)?

Similarly, if he had been part of a multi-element unit could he still perform the above?

Many Thanks,

Raphael

I don't have the rules in front of me, but my recollection is that staff elements do not waver for routing units.

Many Thanks Mark,

I completely missed that about single staff elements. But, if the General was an inherent part of a unit how would the situation regarding rallying apply?

Raphael

There's no limit on how many shaken units a general element could be in contact with and rallying. As far as the shaken general moving into contact, the restriction would just be that if the shaken general was moving into contact during approaches, then the shaken general couldn't be getting closer to any enemy units.

Thanks Jamie,

The General is actually marching away from the enemy, hoping to catch the routers before they exit the table.
