This is the now-blanket invite. I've sent emails to some folks as well.
I would prefer an email reply rather than posting here or a message here.
What I need NOW:
1) Whether or not you will be participating.
By 8 July I need:
1) Your army list.
The NICT Format:
Army Lists: 25mm, 1600 pts, ONE list, 3.5 hour rounds, 8x5 tables, Pre-set terrain, Deployment Rules as posted in the Warrior Forum. You may exceed 1600 points by the cost of the cheapest element in your list but your opponent gets 5 times that value subtracted from his raw score when determining the basic score under the 5-0 system. Lists must be FHE with correcting errata available from our website (www.fourhorsemenenterprises.com). Biblical Warrior and Dark Age Warrior lists must come from the new, pdf-only versions should you decide to play them.
Scoring: The standard 5-0 weighted system.
Rules: The BLACK rule book with the latest clarifications (16 May 0 will be in effect and you need a copy (if I see you with a WHITE copy, I'll toss you from the tourney).
The Barbarian Foot Rules will be in effect with the following additions:
-Willing close order Irr foot can counter-charge impetuous foot
-Eager close order Irr foot who counter-charge can be impetuous
The following X-Rules will be in effect:
X 2.512 Element Bases: 25mm Elephants must be mounted on 60x80mm bases.
X 5.11. Eager. Add a new bullet to the section "Bodies are eager while any of the following apply": If the body is entirely Reg B.
X 6.2 Close Order Marching. Steady Reg close order foot may march on march segment 3. Steady Irr loose foot may march on march segment 3 but take a fatigue point for doing so.
X 11.1. Fire Syphoneers/Naptha Bombers. 6th Bullet: Insert ", Fire Syphoneers/Naptha Bombers" after "and/or artillery". At the end add "Fire Syphoneers/Naptha Bombers/Artillery do not take a -1 when firing on bodies in Shieldwall formation."
X 17.1. SHC/SHCm Troop Cost. Subtract 6 points from the final cost of an SHC/SHCm element if general's, subtract 8 points if other. This applies to Reg and Irr elements.
Schedule: Round 1: Thu 12pm. Round 2: Thu 5:30pm. Those making the cut (see below) then play three rounds on Saturday, Round 3: 9am, Round 4: 1:30pm, Round 5: 6pm. Award ceremony Saturday night around 10:15pm.
Cut: Players with 6 or more base points after the first two rounds make the cut. Any player who wins one of his first two rounds by a base score of 5-x makes the cut. This assumes we have a cut. We haven't the last three years so be prepared to play 5 rounds. _________________ These Rules Suck, Let's Paint! |

I appreciate you very much. Just wanted to do as the owner of the town of Bonnet's Mill wants.

To date, I have 11 people confirmed for the NICT:
Rich Kroupa
Phil Gardocki
Greg Hauser
Mark Stone
Frank Gilson
Dan Woyke
Bill Low
Todd Kaeser
Jake Kovel
Ewan McNay
Scott McDonald
I've had lots of people contact me saying they won't be attending: Dave Markowitz, anybody from Florida, Rob Turnball, etc.
If you haven't emailed me or sent a PM here on the forum, I need to hear something ASAP. If you know of someone what I haven't contacted that wanted to play, have them contact me ASAP.
Assuming we have 12 players total, this means we won't play a 5-round NICT, that's insane. It means a 3 round NICT on Saturday and some kind of 15mm/25mm mix for a Mini on Thursday. I really don't want to press gang the potential few 15mm players we might have into playing in the NICT bringing it up to 14+ players and then a 5-round, two-day event. I'd much rather have a dozen or so of us split up into 25mm and 15mm Minis on Thursday. I'd play in either scale to make even numbers and will bring lead for that scenario.

I'll work up a 1200 point list of some kind and bring lead accordingly. I'm also happy to play in either scale and play with borrowed lead if need be to fit the scale. |

That's a really small field
I would like to believe that I scared everyone off but seems unlikely. Pity - the absence of the Deep South crew is a big blow, especially.
I think Matt Kollmer is planning to play, last I heard?
Three rounds - yuck . A Sunday 4th is probably too much to add at this point given travel plans for folks; but I would cast an opposing vote and suggest that 5 rounds is still just fine even with a small field - not sure of the downside really? |

Oh - and sure, if 15mm works better for me to play, no problem. I'm flying this time so bringing no lead, though - sorry. |

We all wanted to go. Unfortunately, life intervened.
I on my final semester of school and doing a big capstone project.
Rick's wife has some medical issues.
Derek and Jamie decided it was too expensive to go up if it was just the two of them.
With any luck we should all be there next year. I plan to!

Hey Scott, what are your thoughts about starting time for a mini on Thursday? My travel plans are based on not being in Fredricksburg earlier than noon on Thursday. |

Mark: Start time, regardless of what we do, would still be noon on Thursday. There's no need to kick things off earlier than that. |
