Just a question please. I was looking at old NICT lists and noticed that Teuts were allowed LI back in the day, but the current list does not allow for Prussian LI.

Any reason for this?

It seems that just about every army has an option for LI and Teuts do not.

Seems with all the forests around the Teutonic castles there would be the need of some scouting light infantry. I will need to check the Prussian list to see if they're allowed LI - if so why wouldn't the Teut list allow for Prussian LI?

Thoughts?

Prussian list is allowed LI but they are not required. That's an important distinction in terms of how we worked non-native nationalities into lists.

That being said, I'll mull this over and do a little poking around to see if I can come up with something.

Much appreciated! Just trying to keep the blood pumping of Warrior here.

The new deployment rules might see a resurgence in Teut play.... maybe.

I don't see any viable LI in the list - without it they wont see the tabletop - though there are other issues.
I have them painted in 15mm and 25mm - but cannot find a way to run them effectively (for me)

I did a look through just Medieval Warrior - Teutonic Order is the only list that does not allow LI. Early Teuts allow some Polish LI, but are also restricted in some sense.

I'd happily do research if you could point me in the right direction. I'll do some looking as well for historical references.

14b "Prussian/Livonian Archers Irr D LI B @ 2 pts....0-8"

I am assuming that these are allowed to be upgraded to regular due to line 11 - Extra to upgrade Prussian/Livonians to Reg D... any"

The point cost for the LI upgrade has been omitted and would be 2 points per element as I remember correctly.

Typically an upgrade line that is BEFORE a troop line does not apply to those troops.

Frank - there are multiple instances where that is not correct especially in the upgrades - not complaining - but it does happen - so would suggest it get addressed on case by case (I have at least two where upgrades come before the troop type and that troop type is mentioned nowhere else in the list

There have been some errors with upgrade line placement in the past, and we try to correct those as we revise.

Sometimes the error is obvious.

Other times (most, I hope) the placement of the line is correct and troops following after are not supposed to receive the upgrade.

I'll let Scott know about this particular issue.

In this particular case, what Frank said does apply. It was deliberate as we went thru the Teut lists.

Thus, your Prussian LI doesn't get the Reg upgrade.

I typicalkly let common sense play - maybe I should ask. I am always amazed and thankful for how much time others find to make this a fun and interesting game. I struggle to get stuff painted never mind the rest
