I believe the exhibit is on an extended North American tour. I'm not sure what other cities are included. |

Only other city appears to be Philadelphia...Fall 2017 (September 30th on, the Franklin Institute). |

I remember when they found it....
I was super interested.....
Some of you might think that I, of advanced age, was present when the army was buried. I was not......
Just to keep the story straight.....

I happened to catch this "docu drama" when it was originally broadcast. it was both entertaining and informative. Not sure how one would track it down for viewing now:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0775471/?ref_=nv_sr_2
A few tidbits:
* Speculation is that the Terra Cotta Army was to protect the emperor in the realm of the dead because he had made -- and vanquished -- so many enemies in life.
* Much of the site has not been excavated, because the Chinese do not want to expose to air and decay things we may not yet know how to preserve.
* Speculation is that among the buried rooms is one about the size of a hockey rink filled with a precious metal and jewel-encrusted scale map of China, where the bodies of water are represented by liquid mercury. If so, this would represent a signifiant portion of the world's known mercury reserves.
Fascinating story, fascinating time in history. China has changed so much... and yet so little. |

And sadly I was never able to make a Qin list work...something there, but not quite enough. |

Well, Shang is to Qin as Feudal French is to Medieval French. So I'm perfectly happy to play Shang as representative of the period that culminates in the Terra Cotta Army. |

Your Shang are quite different from Qin...a detailed discussion of Shang post-Historicon would be great, even though you've posted AARs before. |
