A unit fights HTH and remains in contact after combat outcome moves. It then breaks due to a failed waver check from a rout or destruction in the next combat further down the line whilst shaken.
When does it rout move?
Many thanks!

Units break at various times.

However, they rout only during two steps.

Charges : Troops not in contact who are broken (either already broken, or as a result of failing a waver while shaken and charged) will rout move if charged.

HTH Combat : Rout moves occur in step 8c, just before pursuit moves, if a body in hth combat breaks or is broken.

All other broken bodies, not in contact, also rout move during 8c when encountered along the pre-determined combat direction.

Sometimes a body breaks, but combat direction has already passed it by. It will not rout until the following bound.

Note that wavers are not taken for bodies BROKEN, but for seeing friendly bodies IN ROUT.
