It's been brought to my attention that some players aren't writing down flank marches until *after* their opponent deploys their first command.
I have no idea how that practice has crept into the game but let me state this clearly:
That practice is *absolutely illegal*.
4.21 states clearly that "Units that...flank march...are so marked as part of the deployment order."
Which means, when you write down your deployment orders, and that of late is also an issue in terms of the perception of how people are writing down vague orders and then optimize their deployment after an opponent puts down troops (which the rule does only require mapping by command, don't reply to that here), a flank march must be included in Deployment Orders.
I don't want to take this any further in terms of specific remedies to prevent this from happening again. But that's the plan if I get any more reports about the uncertainty as to whether or not a player has actually followed the rules as they pertain to when you list and flank march.
