Having Teuts on the table over the weekend and in the past I'm thinking it is a viable list to use.

Even in NICT format

Variations, but available for 6 units of knights and with ability to be regular and impetuous

Fair amount of scouting even if it isn't rank and a half fighting - it is plentiful and has missiles. There are a few Reg B units that can do so much.

The foot is able to hold space and terrain. Has a fair amount of shooting to push on flanks to support LC and a variation of combat weapons to fit your desire. Even enough upgrade options for a decent amount of Reg C if desired.

And it is iconic and cool to see on the table with all the white surcoats and black crosses. We used to see it a lot back in the day.

I agree it's a beautiful army to see on the tabletop. There really is something playable here...

But, overall given the cost per figure you have relatively few figures...it's also hard to get enough of the oomph (SHK) and still have enough units...you end up around 16 total.

I think you end up with 5 SHK units, 1 HC unit (or 4 SHK units and 2 SHK/HC units).

As Todd notes the Prussian foot properly organized are 'not bad' (they aren't great, though)...and certainly operate in the relatively plentiful terrain we find ourselves with.

I've played a similar configuration and have had mixed results...the regular nature of the knight plus their ability to charge impetuously without a general is potent, but you really do need to make use of that regular maneuverability. You're tempted to put some Prussians in the open now and then...and it tends to not work out as they become a high priority target for enemy mounted.

Still, no army is perfect, right?

Sub 2E Brother Knights Reg A/B SHK L,Sh + P 162

2E Mounted X-Bow Reg B LC CB 38

6E Livonian Cav Reg D (1C) LC B - 72
6E Livonian Cav Reg D (1C) LC B – 72

6E Feudal Skir Ir C LC B/Cb 73

6E Livonian Foot Reg D (1C) LMI 2CHW,Jls,Sh/Jls,Sh 98
4E Livonian Foot Reg C LMI 2CHW,Jls,Sh/Jls,B,Sh 90
4E Livonian Foot Reg C LMI 2CHW,Jls,Sh/Jls,B,Sh 90
6E Livonian Bow Reg D LMI B,Sh 82

8E Livonian Archers Ir D LI B 41

I think this fills all the restrictions of the list. 4 full units of knights and 2 ShK/HC units is decent.

Lots and lots of LC - the Feudal Skir can be 1/2 B - worth it? stay all Cb for simplicity?

The Livonian foot is fair. Two big blocks for terrain or LC support with missile fire. The other foot is great follow up units for the knights and excellent terrain units with 2HCW,Jls,Sh/Jls,B,Sh combo.
