Hey all - had a great time at my first historicon this past weekend; was great to game and enjoy in your camaraderie! Thought I'd get the ball rolling with some list discussion. I've tweaked this list a bit over the years, this year scrapping most of the LI for more & larger LC units due to open terrain which I believe was a success. Goal of the list is to deliver the Varangians to enticing targets but I've also had success being uber aggressive with the LC, as they can be supported by the EHC w/ list rules. Fun (and beautiful, thanks to Todd!) army!

The light chariots performed very well on the open tables (remember that they cannot be charged frontally when steady by enemy lights). Taking up space as durable skirmishers and throwing out meaningful shooting...occasionally they charged something.

The big blob of MI archers did some distance shooting and was never in danger...it takes too many points of opposing troops to kill and was always near some of my better troops.
