I would LOVE to see a 1600 point list of Hussites here that people have used.

I am curious about configuration and composition. The list has always mystified me and with all the new Hussite Rules coming out I want to see how it would work.

With great appreciation

Todd

Do the Hussites have the ability to have chains between the wagons AND move? Or does it take a turn to put them out between the wagons?

I was thinking it would be a way to extend the frontage with a wagon on each side.

2 wagons - 48 points
chains - 5 points
mantlets - 4 points
4E Ir C MI 2hct - 64 (1E on each wagon, 2E behind the chains
2E Ir C MI Cb - 24 (behind the wagons)
2E Ir C MI B - 24 (behind the Cb)
command - 25

total points: 194

vs.

2 wagons - 48 points
2E ir C MI 2hct - 32
2E Ir C MI Cb - 24 (behind the wagons)
2E Ir C MI B - 24 (behind the Cb)
command - 25

153 points

40 points might not be worth the extra element of coverage

Todd

Can anyone post a Hussite List that has been used so I can see the configuration or options for how to run the list?

Todd

Sure, Todd,

So, Wagons are one thing...what must they be? Well, they can't be such that they can be beaten...because they will be, and then you've lost a good chunk of points and have to waver here and there...they also can't cost way too much, or you won't cover frontage.

So, I personally feel that a Wagon should be:
2 Wagons (4Cool
2E Irr C MI 2HCT (24)
2E Irr C MI missile-weapon (bow, CB, or HG) (16)
plus command factor that's 113, quite affordable, and quite invulnerable, generally speaking.

You have to have a couple of bombards in wagons...so you take that unit. Scott mentioned that 360 degree fire is...a bit too much so if that's scaling back then I don't think more bombards or staff element generals to join them is advised.

How many wagons like the above do you take? Well...if you take 'enough', no one can fight you and you have a draw game.

That's the Hussite conundrum...What else is there on the list? A little LI, a little eh light cavalry, something like 3 knight units.

The light cav do provide scouting points, but, are not great and don't interoperate well with the rest of the army, effectively being 'guys waiting to die somewhere'.

The light infantry are quite useful.

What else then? Well...that's problematic as the rest of the Hussite army, in the open, is mediocre...you might try to distract your opponent into a valley of shooting and wagons with troops they can kill...but who would fall for that?
