I'm mainly interested in Classical Armies and had been waiting for them to be released in pdf, but am getting close to finishing my Medieval armies so in order to start work on my Classical armies went ahead and ordered the paper copy of the Classical lists.

I understand that the pdf versions are "updated" but don't understand what is being changed/updated in the new versions? My main question is whether unit characteristics are being changed (ie, from HI to MI, or from LTS to JLS)? I'm not too worried about whether there are new lists, or the unit composition of lists changes, etc. To the extent that it matters, for the foreseeable future I'll be working on the basics: Polybian Roman, Later Carthaginian, and Later Macedonian.

I'm reluctant to start printing/painting/basing units without any understanding at all of what is being changed in the updated version...I would look myself but don't have any of the other paper army lists or the old version of the rules.

I'm not promising anything but updating is reformatting, inclusion of all updates to date and yes, in some cases some changes.

But don't expect the armies you mention undergoing anything drastic.

Thanks. Is there a list of updates to date somewhere? I see the stickied threads re Roman Rules and Barbarian rules, but is there anything else?

Errata for CW is in this same Army Lists forum section as it's own Announcement. You need to be logged in in order to download it.
