We're finally completing a new Clarifications effort.
One thing that we're not putting in but that comes up from time to time pertains to 90-degree turns and depth.
I still have players think that the "four elements (or one model)" statement means that in order for a body to end up 2-3 wide, that "one model" only means it gets to do that if there's another rank of *models* behind that first rank of models.
And that's wrong and always been wrong. Read it literally in that anything behind the "one model" means the body is deeper than one model and thus when making a 90 degree turn, it must end 2-3 wide.
The example that came up twice at BillCon involved me and Rich running Khmer. Typical Khmer mixed body has models in the front rank and infantry in subsequent ranks. When they turn 90 degrees, they must end up 2-3 wide because the body starts the maneuver in a formation *deeper than one body*.
Again, me, Bill and Frank didn't feel the rules needed further elaboration on this and didn't want to work on wording in a new document that's got a ton of stuff in it.
Spread the word.
