Yes - a great many of the Warrior rules are not used in FW.

Hi all
I have just recieced a copy of warrrior with the intention of
getting a couple of others into it,but am after some help
What rules do you use for FW? I was told a lot of the standard
warrior rules were not used which is good because my tired brain
cannot digest 100 odd pages of rules.
Also is there an early swiss FW list where the halberd was the
prefered weapon?
Any help would be great
regards michael.

Fast Warrior isn't 'simple Warrior' - it just plays a lot faster. If you
want simple, you'll have to wait for Warrior Battles.
In playing Fast Warrior, you do not use most of rule 4.0 as there is only one
command and I have yet to see an orders change in a FW game. You do not use
the ambush, forced march or flank march portion of 14.0. If you and your
opponents stay away from chariots, elephants, fighting transport, artillery and
temporary fortification, you can do with out all of 13.0 and 16.0 except for the
portion that covers your baggage camp.
But to play Fast Warrior, you will have to know 3.0 and 5.0-12.0.
Also is there an early swiss FW list where the halberd was the

If you don't want to use the FW Swiss list, you can make a one-command force
for 650 points out of the Swiss list in Feudal Warrior for the time period you
desire.

Jon,
Can this option of using a 650 pt command in lieu of the published list
be used for all the other lists? Probably not much difference for most
lists after minimums are taken into account, but may give a different
feel to several other lists.
I assume that cost is for a C&C and all minimums apply.

Sure, but any tourney someone runs should either allow 650 point lists OR the
lists published in the book. The lists in the book are balanced to each
other in period, but we can't make any guarantee where they'd stack up in a
completely open event.

Ed
Yes. One CINC and no other generals. CINC is in a unit not a staff element
alone. Minimums apply.
