A final note, I agree with Mark regarding different periods such as
Renaissance. This option would supplant my Siege Warrior choice.

I'd say one must have the rules for sieges and fleet actions before
creating a campaign game - unless the campaign is limited to a series
of linked land battles.>>

Well CamWar has three options for handling sieges, one of which will be
Siege Warrior and three ways of handling sea movment, one of which is Fleet
Warrior, so given our success in the playtest, I am not so sure it is necessary
to
do FW/SW first, although I do see the logic. We also have to balance that
with the fact that CamWar is running ahead of both in polling. But have no
fear, we have four products to do before we get to any of those and lots more
marketing research to conduct.

Jon - here's my vote:

Swordclash
Siege Warrior
Fleet Warrior
Campaign Warrior
Fantasy Warrior Battles
Warrior Card Game

I'd say one must have the rules for sieges and fleet actions before
creating a campaign game - unless the campaign is limited to a series
of linked land battles. This route would leave out the grand
strategy aspect of having a set of nation's with differing
capabilities i.e., how does one replicate the Peloponnesian War
without sieges and naval rules??

Just a thought as I prep to head into Iraq this weekend for a site
survey.

Hey Matt,

How are you doing on getting those Assyrians painted?

"Yikes!" Be careful while your there. I just thought of something. I wonder how
cool it would be for Marshall to get a zip-loc baggy of sand for his Akkadians?
Wouldn't that be cool to have terrain from the "home country" for a Warrior
army?!

Unfortunately the train has been rolling fast here and I haven't even
taken anything out of the boxes that it all was shipped here in yet.
I do have a 1600-2000pt Sassanid army being painted by the Ukrainian
company that did the Vikings but nothing on my own work bench now.
Probably won't get to any of my own projects until after returning at
the end of next year. Of course, the Sassinids are going to get a
dusting of "home-country" sand when I get back - be sure of that! A
couple of bags of sand will likely find there way home with me too.

BTW, I'm bringing the Warrior and Swordclash rules but will likely
just use printed cardstock instead of minatures while there.

Take care all - I sure miss the KC gaming!
Airborne!
