Greg,

I agree. In the case of the NICT, we had the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place
finishers all within several tenths of a point of each other. Don't get me wrong
here, the schedule was great. I just think a play-off would have been cool to
spread us out some more among the top four final finishers. I know that I would
have loved to have taken on Medieval Spanish or Khmer with my Burmese army. Smile
My tournament was a bloodbath in each game including the ones I lost which were
both 5-3's. It's fun losing when you kill 900 points of your opponents 1600 pts!
As it was, the NICT was great fun and one can consider the 5th game a sort of
playoff that everyone gets to participate in, so the format is cool.
