And I might plug that Irregular is perhaps one of the
best lines of figures as they pretty much have
whatever your heart could desire under the sun! I own
quite a bit of Painted Irregular lead myself and am
taken by their Arab line!

Thanks Jon
Now for a real question on Basing and also movement.
My Hussite War Wagons are based (rebased) as ? and what do they move as?
I probably missed this in the rules but at my age that is easy.

Dave
Dragons are 40x40mm for 15mm and 60x60mm for 25mm
Ancient Dragons are 80x80mm for 15mm and 120x120mm for 25mm
We have a FantasyWarrior yahoo group for further questions of this sort.
Looking forward to the art.

Yes, you can, L. There are a couple of minor differences, like some Bw in
DBM being on a deeper base than the same troop type in Warrior. But the
frontages are all the same and 95% of the depths and number of figures are the
same (Cv = HC or MC, Lh = LC, Bd = HI, etc.)

Hi,
I am very interested in Warrior and was wondering if I could use my
DBM based armies/figures in Warrior without resbasing.
>For the most part, absolutely. There could be issues on specific armies where
Warrior lists differ in some degrees from DBM lists. I think that Bows are
where the main differences in terms of basing (3 vs 4 on a base) come into play.
But for the most part, no new basing needed!

I do this. Nearly all of my playing opportunities anymore are DBM so
while I play Warrior when able I have too much invested in figures
to simply not use them.
First off, there are a few army list differences. Depending on your
specific army this could make a difference in the quantities or, in
some cases, types of figures used.
Second, Warrior uses specific armor and weapon types (and shields
even) which are only abstracted in DBM. However, most Warrior
players (and I believe the rules also) permit some variation in
figures provided they are somewhat reasonable and you declare your
troops' weapons and armor prior to play.
That covers all the real figure differences I have seen, the rest is
a matter of basing.
DBM and Warrior both derive from the same basing system common to
most ancient rules sets, and as the "first generation" direct
offshoot in each case they are remarkably similar.
All DBM "Bw" troops (except BwX) are based as "loose-order" in
Warrior. If your army has loose-order bowmen (and many do) then they
may be used without rebasing. Otherwise to make them close-order you
would have to rebase on a "Sp/Pk" size base and, if irregular,
change them to 4/base. BwX are a real mess as Warrior uses generally
distinct element types for the melee and shooting elements. Unless
you happen to be lucky and have your figures based that way from DBM
you will have some work to do there.
The other main area of basing difference is that many "supporting
Ps" types in DBM are simply 3rd-rank Bw elements in Warrior,
requiring more figures to the base and possibly a different base
depth.
Some oddities like Swiss pikes - they are based on an "Ax" size base
for Warrior as loose-order pikes. Quite a rarity though.
Those are the main differences summarized, although as stated
initially there may be a few oddball armies that have radically
different interpretations between the rule sets.
