With preset, we play it no differently than if each player placed the terrain. When that game is over, you just put the removed pieces back where they were. _________________ These Rules Suck, Let's Paint! |

Yup...you, the Mongol player, get to designate up to two preset terrain pieces to roll for removal after choice of table side but before any troops are deployed.
You roll a d6 with +1 if you are in home climate (Cold for Mongols).
If you score a 3 through 6 you get to pick up the terrain piece and set it aside (replacing it, as Scott notes, after the battle has ended).
Sometimes there are rather large connected terrain pieces on a table and I would have you remove only the maximum size piece corresponding to a normal terrain feature...but some other referee may rule differently, check with them.
