I agree. I tend to run my Roman commanders as 1E though. It reminds me to
keep them the heck away from the fight, plus it allows me to join my arty
and direct fire.

bodyguards are to dang expensive to not be earning their pay winning the
battle for you!

Don,
That's also historical as well. Seldom do you hear of Roman commanders
coming out to accept a 1 on 1 combat with the enemy general. It just was not
done.
