This might be asking too much, but I would like to prioritize my
painting agenda for next year. What are your plans (or FHE) for
tourneys at Historicon. I know the Crusades is the theme for cons
next year, and I imagine you will have some theme for FW and maybe a
mini. If possible, would you mind forcasting a little for '03 H-
con. Thanks in advance.

This is excruciatingly tentative. I make no promises, your results may vary,
endless disclaimers >inserted here<.

First, Cold Wars. Doubles will be usual 2000 pt games, both scales. The Mini
will most likely be a Theme event and limited to those armies in HW that can
be fielded WITHOUT EHK or SHK (this reflects my desire to have an event that's
focused more on the front end of the Crusades rather than the back end). The
se games will be played on full sized (6x4 or 8x5) tables. One possible devel
opment on this: we're working on a tournament campaign format for this. More
details as we work them out but it's quite likely that you'll play 1200 pt Th
eme games but also have to manage your forces to survice over three rounds. I
'll also run a FW 15mm event on Saturday at Cold Wars for those players withou
t doubles partners or more desiring of a less stressful day (with plenty of ti
me to shop).

Second, Hcon. The Mini will be the Mini, 1200 points, Open. Table size still
up in the air. The Friday Theme will be include all the armies from HW (no r
estrictions) and possibly some from Feudal Warrior (Teuts, Prussians, Lithuani
ans, etc., to reflect the Baltic Crusades and possibly some of the internecine
Christian conflicts in south/eastern Europe such as the Hussite Wars, etc).
If we don't get the Campaign Tourney worked out in time for Cold Wars, we'll b
e doing that here instead. So at some point next year, expect a tournament wi
th a very interesting overlay to it. Saturday will be the NICT in one scale a
nd an Open (1600 pt) in one scale. I'm still not sure how to fit FW into all
of this. I'd love to continue doing it on Sunday morning but we just don't ge
t the turnout. I also hesitate to run it opposite the Theme on Friday but dun
no at this point.

Again, all of the above is tentative. Well, you can count on some things like
Doubles, NICT/Open, and a Mini Theme at Cold Wars and a Theme at Hcon (again,
the latter will be 1600 pts unless we don't get the Campaign Tourney figured
out in time for Cold Wars, then it will be 1200 pt armies deployed).
