I love that combination, especially with a Jls back rank (mainly so I
can be impetuous and still get 1/2 in the back rank). I ran them in
the last Derekcon in a Feudal French army. They were a lawn mower
most of the morning until Derek pinned me with his Byzantines and
rolled up my army in about three bounds.

Most people engage them with the bulk of their army which allow my
knights to hit weak spots up and down the line. They were impervious
to missle fire, they had decent staying power because they disordered
most other close order at first contact, and the -1 did hurt to help
limit my casualties. I ran them as HI in both ranks, so I only lost
a net or 1 (shieldless HI +2, vs 2HCT -1) for being shieldless after
first contact. I find them to be superior to 2HCW,Sh in every way.

The lack of mobility and missles hurts the Feudal French army, but it
was a blast to play.

Wes
