Hello all,
Been away from miniatures a couple of years. I see that Warrior ( I am
looking a copy dated 16 May, 2000 ) still ends marches for those who
move less than max move distance. 6.2 Marches
Anyone care to explain the rationale that a reg army such as Roman or
Byzantine can not move forward together with inf and cav supporting each
other. A case might be made for an irregular army, but the Roman and
Byzantine, among others, supported each other both in the field and in
army doctrine. I was hoping that this would have been addressed.
Is it a matter of game mechanics, and yes, it is not historical, but the
game works better? If so, why?

You can still make this happen if you use a bit of planning in deployment.
It costs your cavalry the max move "directly at" the enemy, but this is
probably a realistic trade off for mutual support.
